Membership

The Foyer Gallery Artists’ Association membership includes well established and emerging artists, many of whom have received local, national and international recognition. Applications are juried in an arm’s length peer review done by a minimum of three professional artists.

The Gallery has over 600 square feet of glassed enclosed space located in the front foyer of the Nepean Sportsplex, 1701 Woodroffe Avenue, entrance 1. Annual traffic for the Nepean Sportsplex is 1.1 million visitors. Although the gallery is open during specific hours, private showings are available by appointment.

‘Call for Artists’

Please submit the following when the next call goes out

1- A $25.00 non-refundable jury fee (cheque payable to the Foyer Gallery Artists’ Association FGAA).

2- A signed application form and statement of authenticity.

3- Three (3) copies of your artist’s CV and three (3) copies of your artist statement.

4- Ten (10) digital images (Jpeg and PC compatible only) on CD (1024 pixels maximum on the longest side) showing your most recent work (within 2 years). Label each image with its number from 01 to 10 and title the work (e.g.: 01-Image title).

5- Provide three (3) copies of a correspondingly numbered list of the images with the title, year of completion, dimensions, medium and techniques used.

6- Include a self-addressed envelope big enough to fit your documents and CD if their return is requested. The envelope needs to be sufficiently stamped to cover mailing cost.

NB: Image quality is extremely important in the artwork jury process.

Jury decision:
Applicants will be notified of the jury’s decision at the end of November 2010
