Doris Lamontagne

Cutting edge - Point de vue tranchant

Artist's statement

Nature, how humans interact and affect nature or the environment is my inspiration. I use photography to explore the intricate relationship between human actions and their effects on the immediate surrounding. My desire is to open a dialogue between the observer and the image. From the juxtaposition of images, a story emerges. At a minimum, the need for a narrative becomes obvious. Sometimes the message is uneasy, sometimes it is funny and more than often, it exposes the unnoticed.

Winter square, Diptych: 11 in. x 15.5 in.
