Christiane Kingsley

Christiane Kingsley is a professional fine arts painter who works in watercolour, mixed media and acrylics.

She started her art journey more than 25 years ago as a part-time fibre artist and colourist; for many years, she sold her work through major craft shows such as Signatures and the Ottawa Xmas Craft Show at the Landsdowne Park. About 12 years ago, she discovered the magic of watercolour and the transition to this artistic expression was most fluid and logical. Christiane retired in December 2010 after a successful career as a high school teacher and then as a director of learning programs and services in the federal Public Service.

She is now a full-time painter, showing both in the Ottawa and Eastern Ontario as well as on international online galleries. She is a juried permanent member of the Foyer Gallery at the Nepean Sportsplex and served on the Board of Directors of this gallery. She is an active member of the Ottawa Art Association where she served for 3 years on the board of directors. She is the digital archivist for the Nepean Fine Arts League Christiane also contributes extensively to online artistic communities(http://christianekingsley.blogspot.com) and she also markets her work internationally online.
