Isabelle Jérôme is an award-winning Ottawa-based artist working primarily in watercolour. She was drawn to the medium for its transparency, accessibility, and challenges.
Largely self-taught, Isabelle continues to explore new techniques while focusing on detailed subjects. Her work is inspired by nature and everyday life, ranging from landscapes and animals to simple, familiar moments. As a high school art teacher, she hopes to share her enthusiasm and spread her love for the medium to younger generations.
Isabelle is active in the art scene throughout the city and surrounding area. She is a member of various organizations and galleries including the Foyer Gallery Artists’ Association, the Kanata Civic Art Gallery, Arts Carleton Place, and the Ottawa School of Art. Isabelle has been published twice in the Art and Color 365 magazine and her works have been accepted in various juried exhibitions. Her paintings can be found in private collections here in Canada and abroad.
